Funded Partners
California Healthy Marriages Coalition (CHMC) received in 2006, a five-year $11.9 million Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant (HMDG) from Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families. Through this funding, CHMC partners with many faith-and community-based organizations to provide Marriage Education throughout California. Funded Partners have applied for and received sub-grants from CHMC that last up to one year.
Program Partners
Marriage Education is a skills-based educational approach in which individuals or couples are taught skills to increase effective communication, success in resolving problems and conflicts with their spouse/partner, and skills that increase marital commitment and satisfaction. CHMC's Program Partners have created Marriage Education programs that have proven results, affordable curriculum, and a replicable train-the-facilitator process.
Coalition Partners
The mission of CHMC, "to improve the well-being of children and families in California by strengthening the relationship of parents through Marriage Education " is more than one organization can accomplish. CHMC has many Coalition Partners who are helping make this mission a reality!
